Sofar for now. Succes gewenst!

Thank you so much for your service and dedication to the memory of all those who sacrificed.

My Uncle St. Sgt John E Di Trapani, of Long Beach, California was KIA 07-07-1944 while flying on a B-17 North Star 47-107070 on a bombing mission to Merseberg, GE; his plane collided with another B-17 and crashed at Hoorn. He rests in peace at the American Cemetery at Margraten.

I am interested in any photos or artifacts you may have recovered from that crash or the planes involved in that crash.

My Uncle was flying at his post in the ball turret, and the point of impact of the crash was his ball turret. His remains were recovered from the crash site, 3 days after the crash, and then he was initially buried at the town cemetery on Hoorn, and later moved to Margraten.

I am interested to find any thing that is found from that crash, site and especially the ball turret as a sacred memory and remembrance of my beloved Uncle.
I can be contacted at bewithabob@aol.com

Hello, Just to say that I was at the unveiling of the Memorial Monument on the 11th November, my uncle Sgt.Jack Uden was the pilot of the Stirling Bomber BK710 that was lost in May 1943. It was a great honour to attend this occasion and I thank everyone for an unforgettable day. Everyone made us so welcome as they always do and I hope that our friendships continue. The Memorial Monument is wonderful and so are the people of Marken.
