History:  On the evening of July 25th, 1943, around 20.00 hours, 12 Bostons from 107 and 342 (Free  French) Squadron were attacking The Fokker-works in Amsterdam. There was slight  damage to buildings. The Bostons were escorted by Spitfires of the Kenley Wing.   North of Amsterdam, the formation was attacked by ME-109's III./JG54. Uffz Albert Pfeiffer,  called Weisse 5 , belonging to 7./JG54 was part of the formation of JG 54.  He got into a fight with W. Cdr JE (Johnny) Johnson, DSO, DFC & Bar, Wing leader of the  Kenley Wing. This was no match for this British veteran so Uffz Pfeiffer and his plane were  shot down. Pfeiffer was able to parachute to safety and his landed near a German  searchlight exposure to the Noordermaatweg in Heemskerk.   His plane crashed near Marquette Castle in Heemskerk.  PLANE Crashdate   July 25th, 1943 Investigationdate 1990 Callsign   Weisse 5 Serialnumber   19818 Squadron   7./JG54 Messerschmitt Bf-109G-4 Heemskerk 1990 YEAR LOCATION
